Requisition papers for tho return of Francesco Ciddio, tho Italian who was arrested In this city on January 25, by Chief Constable William .T. Devitt, on a charge of dynamiting a hotel in Niagara, Nia-gara, Can., and thus killing Louise ICing, tho daughter of tho hotel proprietor, wcro received in this city Friday morning morn-ing and at 1 o'clock, Ciddio left iu charge of Constable Devitt for tho scene ol the alleged crime, where ho is to bo tried for murder. The dynamiting oif tho hotel occurred about two years ago, and for nearly sixteen months, Dovitt tracked Ciddio over the greater part of tho Western United States and Canada, and finally arrested him in this city last January. Ciddio 's preliminary hearing occurred here boforo United States Commissioner Baldwin about a month ago and tho testimony was sent back to Washington, Washing-ton, D. Xi., and the prisoner was committed com-mitted to the county pail to await the arrival of the requisition papers. This is the third man that Constable Dovitt has arreBtod in the United States and taken back to Canada, and during his last visit hero hy has become acquainted ac-quainted with many pcoplo and made numerous friends, llo expects to visit Salt Lake again shortly, at which time he will bo accompanied by his wife.
