Cannon for IflOS, which was launched last week by his own Congressional Congres-sional district, was given an enthusiastic enthusi-astic indorsement by today's convention. conven-tion. The mention of Cannon's name brought the convention to its fcet, and there was enthusiastic cheering. The convention carried out the will of tho people of the State, expressed at tho primaries a few weeks ago, by a unanimous unani-mous indorsement of Senator Shelby AT. Cullorn for re election. Outside of the indorsement of Speaker Speak-er Cannon for President, and Senator Cullorn for ro-election, there was little of general interest in the convention's proceedings. Tho fight for Stato Treasurer Treas-urer was tho most spirited of the convention, con-vention, but Mr. Smulski won easily on the second ballot.
