Show LEGION AUXILIARY RECEIVES VISIT OF STATEOFFICERS A number of officers in the Utah department of the American Ameri-can Legion and of the district attended the meeting of Bingham Bing-ham post No. 30 and the auxiliary auxil-iary at the Civic Center Wednesday Wednes-day evening. Outstanding on the program was the address of Clem S. Schramm, department commander command-er of Utah, wno stressed the necessity nec-essity of thoroughly educating young people of United States on the importance of Americanism. American-ism. Mr. Schramm said that danger lies in allowing a passive patriotism in the face of increasing increas-ing activity of fifth columnists and subversive agents of other nations. A. J. Horsley, department ad- jutant, spoke on use of the Poppy Pop-py fund. Proceeds of Poppy day sales usually go to benefit children child-ren and widows of disabled and deceased veterans or to support the Legion's child welfare pro-, gram. Last year 1,004 children of Utah received aid from the fund. Others who spoke briefly at the meeting and who were introduced introduc-ed by O. R- Warner, post commander, com-mander, were William Bagshaw of Union; Mrs. Ora Bundy of Ogden, department president: Mrs. Arthur Olsen of Salt Lake City, department secretary; Mrs. Daisy Crouch of Morgan, department depart-ment membership chairman. A dancing group from Bingham Bing-ham high school, students of Miss Virginia Harris, presented a number. Miss Patricia Shilling was their accompanist. Mrs. C A. Morley played a violin solo with Mrs. Paul F. Erz accompanying accom-panying her at the piano. Mrs. D. J. Sullivan of Copperton, Cop-perton, auxiliary president, announced an-nounced that a rummage and cake sale would be held by the group in the Woodring building on Main street April 10. Mrs. Mike Brisk and Mrs. Sullivan will be chairmen of a committee to be announced later. Bridge was played with Mrs. Ross Hocking, Mrs. LaMont Cos- frove, Charles Brimhall and ohn L. Johnsen playing high. Refreshments were served to 60. Acting on the committee were Mrs. Jack Householder, Mrs-John Mrs-John L. Johnsen, Mrs- Joseph Tome, Mrs. LeRoy Bosworth, Mrs. Glen Davies, Mrs. William -Mclvor, Mrs. Gus Alexion, Mrs. Charles Brimhall, Mrs. Rex T. Tripp, Mrs. Max M.
