That the officials of Kings county and the Borough of( Brooklyn wore prepared to onforco Justico Gaynor 's decision became be-came apparent during tho day. Several affrays occurred, and there were some arrests. Numoroua threats were made against the company, and in some instances stones were thrown at cars and company employees, but by this evening serious troublo was regarded as improbable. It was thought the whole question would resolve itsolf into litigation to force the company to charge only a single fare. |
