Grannlas, formorly vice-presidents of tho Mutual Llfo Insurance Insur-ance company, wero Indicted on charges of forgory today by the special grand Jury which has been Investigating Insurance Insur-ance affairs under tho direction of District Dis-trict Attorney William T. Jorome. Dr. Gllletto was also Indicted on a charge of porjury. False Statements Alleged. Mr. Grannlss was accused of making falso statements to tho Stato Insuranco departmont, which Is a misdemeanor. There aro five Indictments of forgery against Dr. Gllletto. Enter Plea o Not Guilty. Both Dr. Gllletto and Mr. Grannlss surrendered sur-rendered thomsolves, wero arraigned before be-fore Justice Scott and wore held In ball for a hearing on the first Monday In September. Sep-tember. Both pleaded not guilty. Dr. Gillette's ball is $10,000. That of Mr. 'Grannlss 'Gran-nlss Is $5,000. |
