THIS EVENING at 8 o'clock -will take place the marriage of Mlas Mary Talbott and Luthor Foulko Steel of Portland. BlBhop David Moore of Portland will perform the ceremony, and the attendants will be Miss Anna Finloy and Dr. W. XV. Wick. Following the wedding a reception re-ception will be held, the young people peo-ple leaving on the lato train for Portland, where they will make their future home. MRS. H. M. WELLS will entertain at luncheon on Wednesday afternoon, May 23, in honor of MIrs Mary Robinson, Rob-inson, who Is the gie3t of Mr. and Mrs, Edward S. Ferry. MISS MARY LOUISE ANDERSON will entertain Informally at a tea on Thursday afternoon In honor of Mls3 Mary Anno Winn and Miss Mary Block of Aberdeen, Mo. MISS SUSAN SAWYER will entertain at a very informal Kensington on Friday afternoon in honor of Mlas Helen Bamberger. MRS. ISADORE MAYER and Mrs, Charles Calne Crlsmon will entertain enter-tain at cards this afternoon in honor of Mrs. Charles Sebree nnd Mrs. Lynn Kemper. THE SEWING CLUB will meet tomorrow to-morrow afternoon with tho Misses Savage. A beautifully-appointed dinner was the one given last evening by Rev and Mrs. H. J. Talbott, In honor of MIbs Mary Talbott, Luther Steele of Portland and guests who are in tho city from the Northwest to attend the wedding this evening. In the center of tho tabic was a largo heart formed of pink carnations. Arranged about tho ccnterpleco wore crystal candlesticks shaded in pink, with candles of the same hue Tho place cards were- water-color designs in cuplds, Tho other guests were Mrs Wick. Mrs. W W. Cotton, Mrs. Allen Smith, Miss Anna. Finloy. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Bldwoll were tho host and hostess of a delightful Kensington Kensing-ton on Sunday evening. In honor of Mrs. O. E. Gary. The rooms were prettily decorated with lilacs and spring Mowers, and during the evening about forty friends- called. Judge and Mrs. George J. Armstrong entertained a dozen friends at an informal in-formal muslcalo .last evening. Mrs. F. B. Page and Miss Corolyn Holmes, who havo been tho guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. O. Cary for several weeks, are now at homo to tholr friends at the Fifth East hotel, where they will be until early In June, when they will leave for tho East. Mrs. E. O Cary In now at home to her friends at the Fifth East hotel, before leaving the city. Mrs. Cary will bo the guest of Mrs. Russell L. Tracy for a couple cou-ple of weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Yale Henry are In tho city from Grand Rapids, Mich., and will be at homo for the present at the Fifth East hotel. . "Mrs. Ernest Williams and Miss Lucy Williams have gone to Los Angeles for a six weeks' visit.' Mr and Mrs. Harry Knight have returned re-turned from Los Angeles, where they have spent the past slx weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Seton Llndscy loft the city last evening. Mrs. Llndsey will spend the summer and early fall In England, Eng-land, and Mr. Llndscy' will return to Seattle. J. A. Scott returned yesterday from a two weeks' visit In Chicago. |
