BAMBERGER 1 State Senator Provides Some Excellent Entertainment at His Resort. When tho "Scenic Limited" of the Denver & Klo Grando arrived In Salt Lake Monday morning Col. I A Benton and other local officials of the road wero In waiting, and together with MaJ. Hooper and the members of tho Press club, Immediately took charge of the Colorado newspaper men, who aro guests of tho company. The scribes will remain fl here until this evening, when they will return homo on the Limited. Boys Have Strenuous Day. The day was a somewhat stronuous one for tho boys, but they lived through It. Tho programme opened with an auto ride around the city, Leonard S Spire, mau-agor mau-agor of tho "Seeing Salt Lake City" cars j and atitos, kindly placing "bubble" wagons at the disposal of the party. After seeing Zlon, the lntenniountaln metropolis, the party had luncheon, and at i p, m, they started for Lagoon as the guests of Stato Senator Bamberger. Doings at Lagoon. After a pleasant ride on the new track the "beauty spot of the valley" was 1 teached, Senator Bamberger being in 1 waiting to receive his guests. The boys Immediately entered into posscs- ! elon of the grounds; everything was theirs. The Bamberger ' Scenic Limited," in miniature, was boarded and the en-glnecr en-glnecr gave the passengers a double H whirl of the circle that fairly eclipsed MaJ. Hooper's new train. The electric launch took the boys for a real voyage, and all returned without suffering from mal dc mcr. A stroll through the grounds, which were generally admired and praised, brought the party to the new restaurant, where a sumptuous ban-quel ban-quel was served, with Senator Bamberger as host. Thanks for Senator Bamberger. Tho Senator done the honors lavishly. The menu contained everything to satisfy j the palate of the epicure. Tho boys had good, healthy appetites, and ample Jus-tlce Jus-tlce was done to the repast. At the cJoso H. S. Rogers of the Denver B.c-publican, B.c-publican, acting as orator, in a charae- Hj tcrlstic oration thanked Mr. Bamberger for his hospitality. MaJ Hooper added 1 a few words of thanks, and christened the miniature train as the "Scenic Limited." It was covertly whispered that the Major was trying to work the Senator for a Job, and It is possible he may succeed. Attend Performance at Orpheum. The party then returned to the city 1 and took in the performance at tho 1 Orpheum, after which they attended a 1 reception at the Press club, and were then quietly put to bed. Programme for Today. H The visitors will be allowed to rest un-til un-til 2 o'clock this afternoon, and they need It. At that hour they will be taken to Saltalr and given a bath, and they need it. On their return they will be cnter-talned cnter-talned at an organ recital at the Taber-nnclo, Taber-nnclo, and at 6:30 o'clock they will board the Limited for home. Hj; Roster of Party.
