SALES MAY BE MADE BY SEALED BIDS Large Movement, of Wool From Northwest Not Expected Until Juno. Reports from Utah and neighboring Stales lndicato that the wool seaaon la a very backward ono. Particularly la thio true of ventern Idaho and Oregon. Some four million pounds woro contracted for prior to tho opening of the season thoro, but tho acllers aro not pushing for a market for the balance, and aro evidently evi-dently waiting In tho hopo of aoauring tho beat posslblo price. In fact, tho rumor ru-mor Is that much of tho clip will bo dlo-poHed dlo-poHed of by sealed bid Hales. This method Is occaslonaly resorted to, tho wool men meeting at Bomu point and calling for sealed bids from the buyers, and after all are In selling to tho highest bidder. Clip Moving Slowly. Shearing commenced In tho Boise district dis-trict on Mondav. April 30. Tho work lo now progressing, but It Is not expected that there will bo any considerable movement move-ment of tho clip until early In June. In southern Utah more satisfactory progroea Is being mado. At Black Rock considerable consider-able wool has been moved and loading Is now going on In that district, also work has been retarted on account of tho damp weathor. Frank T. Vincent, agent of tho Erie, returned from Boise Saturday, whero ho has been for the past two week. Ho will go north again on Monday. J. L. Yundt of the Wabash camo in yesterday from Black Rock and will return re-turn to his work of loading on Monday. R. W.
