Show COURT MAKES CLAYS PAY WIFE ALIMONY On March 20 last. Judge Morse granted a divorce to Delia Clays from M. V. flays. Ono of tlif provisions of the de-. cree was a requirement that Clays pay his divorced wife ?B0 a month alimony. Friday morning Mrs. Clays complained to the court that her divorced husband had failed to keep tho mandates of the court in this respect. Clays now lives at Blackhorse. Nov.. and on a recent visit to this city was summoned before tho court to show causo why ho should not bo adjudged In contempt of courr for falling to pay tho required alimony. Ho appeared beforo be-foro Judge Morso Friday and said that ho had been compelled to pay hospital hills for his wife, but lhccourt hold that this was no excuse for falling to pay the alimony. Aftor hearing the woman's testimony, tes-timony, Judge Morse found that Clays was in arrears $S2. for which he Immediately Imme-diately drew a check and left the courtroom. |
