Show ACTION OF THE BANKS BEGEIVES IflHuEllT Commercial Club and Manufacturers Manufac-turers and Merchants' Association As-sociation Get Busy. At the meetings of the Commercial club and the Manufacturers and Merchants Mer-chants association, held Thursday afternoon after-noon at their rooms, the following resolutions reso-lutions were adopted indorsing the recent action of the clearing house association of Salt Lake to prevent the withdrawal of large amounts of cash from tho clly: "To the Public: The board of governors gov-ernors of the Commercial club, after investigating in-vestigating the recent action of the Salt Lake clearing house made necessary by a similar procedure of the banko in all the other cities of tho United States, considers the action, to which reference Is made, as a wise and proper precaution precau-tion for the Fafe-guardlng of tho best Interests of the community. "The board, therefore. Indorses and approves ap-proves the action of the Salt Lake clearing clear-ing house and congratulates tho people upon the hearty co-opcratlor. and support sup-port they have given the local banks. "To the Public: Tho Manufacturers and Merchants Association of Utah, after having investigated the reasons for tho recent action of the Salt Lake clearing house in conforming to the ruling established estab-lished by similar bodies throughout the country, rolativo to tho conservation of currency during tho present temporary stringency, indorses such action, and approves of It a3 being timely and proper, prop-er, and calculated to subserve tho best Interests of all, and we further express our confidenco in the solidity of the banks of Utah, and their ability to meet all demands made upon them.
