The general formations which characterizes charac-terizes this district, are granite, porphjry and occasionally sedimentary limes, wmcn appear ao capplngn. Veins appear in fissures and contacts between the granue and porphyry. Tho cliaractcr of ores on tho surfaco is white oxidized miartz. carrying freo gold values, and some silver; sil-ver; but at about fifty feet depth the ores becomo slightly sulphide, carrying copper and Iron, tho copper appearing m a pyrlte form. At a depth of 150 feet a decided change tcfltcs place to a true sulphide ore, but still carrying hlgn-grado hlgn-grado gold values as are encountered on tho surface. . ..
