Show I LOCAL HEALTH OFFICERS j MUST REPORT MONTHLY The State Board of Health, through Its secretary. Dr. T. B. Boatty, has addressed a t'Irculnr letter to health officers throughout the State In which It states that it is the Intention of the Stato Board of Health to hereafter Insist upon strict compliance with the laws relating to the mortality reports of contagious diseases by local health officers. Tho matter of compensation for this work will bo taken up at the coming meeting of the Associated Asso-ciated Health Officers, the circular stales, and systematic effort Inaugurated to so-cure so-cure a fair rate. . Where there are no contagious diseases In the district a negative report should be made In the event that any health officer of-ficer falls to make reports or perform the other duties, such officer Is requested to notify the board In order that a successor succes-sor may be appointed. Dr. Beatty has addressed a letter to the Board of County Commissioners In every county In the State, calling attention atten-tion to the fact that, certain of tho district dis-trict health officers habitually fall to make regular and complete monthly roports ro-ports of contagious diseases, as tho law directs. The secretary says that tho Board of Health would esteem It a favor If the Commissioners would hereafter request re-quest their district health officers to comply com-ply with the law. In the event of their continued failure to make monthly reports, re-ports, the secretary says, tlie board will be obliged to proceed under section 1107, chapter 102, Laws of Utah, which provides pro-vides for theJr removal. |
