Show ' BISCUIT MINE IS M ir WELL ' Company Meet's With Success in Opening Famous Cherry Creek Property. M. II. WALKER IS I PLEASED WITH TRIP j I Sees Many rcars of Usefulness I Ahead of the Biscuit Min-j Min-j ing Company. j "NI. II. Walker, the well-known banker j of Salt Lake City, was at his desk j again 'Monday after a most pleasant I trip to the Cherry Creek section of the J State of Nevada. Mr. Walkor stated yesterday to The Tribuno that his trip was decidedly a pleasant one, for the I property which he visited, tho Biecuit, is all 01 8000 feet above sea level. Mr. I Walker was accompanied by several of j tho prominent Biscuit officials, including Senator Frank J. Cannon, Manager A. E. Hyde, Jr., and Harry Hague. The trip took several days," but from tho manner in which Mr. Walker snoko of it, it evidently was well worth t.nc trouble trou-ble incident to summer travel involved. Tho13iscu.it is one of the noted prop-j erties in White Pine conutv, as is pointed point-ed out by Mr. Walker. In the early days when silver mining in the Sagebrush Sage-brush State was at its heighth, this property gave forth an cnorinou3 amount of monoy in spite of tho distance dis-tance separating the mine from railroad facilities. The former operators stoned a splendid body of ores from the Sv'.Q-foot Sv'.Q-foot level to tho surface, stated Mr. Walker yesterday, and mined along its strike for a distance of sjinething like So feet. Tho present owners aro getting get-ting beneath this famous old stopc, and with every promise of sending a great amount of additional wc.lth into tho world from the same ore body or zone. The present management, therefore, is drifting on the ore body on the 000-foot 000-foot level, and has been for ISO feet so 1 far. Tho ore is of a very fine quality. Phis drift is being run to the south. Mr. Walker states that ho went over the surface for quite a distance to see how the vein looked under the sunlight. The croppings he describes as being extensive and containing vorv fine values, and stretching along tbo strike of the vein for many thousand feot. the Biscuit company alone has between 3000 and 4000 or the strike of this vein within their boundary lines. Mr. Walker summed up his opinion of the Biscuit by stating that it has the evidences of being a great proporty, and with many years of usefulness before it. Ihe company now ha3 two cars of ore upon the dump, and shipments will be made at once. Boston Stock Market. James A.
