The 1903 basket-ball season opened lat night at the y M c A gymnasium With a good lively contest between the first teams of the Ti M. C. A. of this city and the deaf mules of Ogden. The game while not nny too good In the line of playing, was as fast and hard as was ex-p ex-p Cted considering the fact that it was tin tlrst game of the season The final score was .19 to 11 In favor of the Y M C A . which 19 far larger tnan was expected by any on- before the game The mules did not seem to be able to keep pace with the y Iff, C. The mutes during the remainder of the game made five baskets while the locals got ten. The final score was 19 to 17.
