His well-known fallings were often taken advantage ad-vantage of by unscrupulous creditors, who gavo no receipts for pnld bills, simply sim-ply becauso they wore not demnnded. Webster was well awaro of this, but It seemed to troublo hi in very little. On ono occasion a creditor presented a bill which seemed familiar, and Wobster asked: "Isn't this bill pretty large?"
