Show BOARD OF EDUCATION. Regular Weekly Meeting of the Ogden Board Held. Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN', Sept. 15. The regulnr weekly meeting meet-ing of the Board of Education was held tonight, to-night, oil members being present. The llnanclal committee reported tho sles of school books for tho enduing year aa amounting to over JI00. Tho sanitary committee reported no new cuses of olphtlurlu, although sixteen nro existing ex-isting In the town, and but onn death. Dr. Condon, who resides near the Madison school, presented a kick about alleged unsatisfactory unsat-isfactory snnltary conditions, a roadway that old not suit him. and tho prosenco of a treo thnt he feared might fall over and break his fmce. On the suggestion of Dr. Joyce, president presi-dent of the board, a communication was ordered or-dered sent to the doctor asking him to trans-mil trans-mil his complnlnt In writing. Superintendent Allison was Instructed to have a now well driven nt the West Ogden school, but Inter was advised to overlain whether the school population at that point would Justify the contlnunnce of tho school under tho statutes. Information having been received that perhaps only fifteen pupllB would be In attendance this winter. Mr. Allison submitted a report of the school enrollment for this term, showing an Incrcnso of 24ii pupils over that shown at tho beginning begin-ning of tho term last year. The total enrollment enroll-ment for this year Is -I31G. The board adjourned ad-journed for one week. |
