FOUR THOUSAND PEOPLE TAKE PART IN EXERCISES Thoroughly American Crowd Jubilates Over the District's Wonderful Progress. Special to Tho Tribune. TWIN FALLS, Ida., Aug. 7. This Is Twin Falls's first great gala day. It is a Fourth of July celebration, a railroad Jublleo arid a thanksgiving and harvest hom6 festival all rolled into one, and hold on the llrst anniversary of the town's birth. And no matter what you may call It, It Is a success. In April and May when It was said tho railroad would reach Twin Falls by July 1, It was Intended to hold this celebration celebra-tion on tho Nation's natal day. Tho rallroud. rall-roud. as usual, was slower than expected, nnd tho Jubilee was of necessity deferred. This made tho Twin Falls people feel so bad that they had no celebration on tho Fourth, not becauso they wero not patriotic, pa-triotic, but because they philosophically preferred to toll on and mako posslblo tho combined event of today. Probably 40CO people wero ln tho town this afternoon, 400 of whom camo by rail on a speclnl train arriving at 1:20 p. m. Tho remainder of tho crowd consisted of residents of the town and tract and visitors visi-tors from the older settlements ln this and adjoining counties. It Is n good-natured, good-natured, thoroughly American crowd, that seems to be greatly enjoying a well-earned well-earned holldav. Serve Barbecue Dinner. The new Hotel Klmberly, built of concrete con-crete blocks and threo stories high. Is a truly Imposing building It Is under roof and has the lloors down, but Is otherwlso I not completed. Hero many plank tables wore spread with a great free dinner, furnished by the generosity of tho peoplo of Twin Falls.
