President Michell caused mine-workers much concern con-cern last night In Olyphant. lie is quoted as saying, after an appeal to the 'men to Join the union: "I may not be long with you in this great movement. This night and day work is tco much. The nervous and physical strain of continual effort Is more than mortal man can stand. I do appeal to you. however, to show a greater appreciation of the efforts of our organization." He asked how they expected operators op-erators to recognize the union when many mine-workers did not recognize it. "If you give us a full representation representa-tion of the men about the mines, there will be no strike In the anthracite region re-gion next year," lie added. |
