Show GQLDFIELD GREAT CAMP. Nevada Man Tells President His Town Greatest Gold Camp in World. WASHINGTON, Ocl. 31. William G. Tiffany of Nevada paid his respects to President Roosevelt. His nephew was ln the rough riders and lost his life. Mr. Tiffany, who Is a Harvard graduate, speaking of affairs In general In Nevada, Ne-vada, said the greatest gold fields in the world have been discovered there. "Six months ago," said Mr. Tiffany, "the mining town of Goldfleld, Nev., had a population of 300. There are today to-day 10,000 persons in the town, and people peo-ple are flocking there each weelc by tho hundreds. Tho famous Comstock lode in Nevada yielded 5600,000.000 in gold. I predict that the Goldfleld region will yield more than twice as much. I do not know any place where tho prospects are so great." |
