Show To Train Again. Dick Welles, by King Eric Tea's Over, holder of the world's record of 1:37 2-6 for one mile, will be placed in training again, according to J. B. Rcspess, his owner. The horse has not been entered In any of tho handicaps, and supposed to bo' permanently out of training, but efforts will bo made to bring him back to the races for a final season. Messrs. Baker & Gentry of. Lexington, Ky . have received a letter from Rcspess stating that their marc. Sister Anna, by Imp. St. George Come and Go. a full sister to the speedy Ocean Tide, has foaled a brown colt by Ornament. Sister Sis-ter Anna Is one of two mares sent to Woodlawn by the Lexington firm at tho request of Mr. Respess to be mated with Dick Welles. The maro was rogarded by her owners as tho fastest filly they ever owned, but owing to sovere sIckncsB as a two-year-old, sho was never raced and was retired to the stud. Her only foal was a bay colt by Ingoldsby. which Rcspess Rcs-pess bought last year for J1100. He selected se-lected Sister Anna as one of the fifteen mr.res to be mated with the mllo record holder, and the result of the union should be a flyer. The son of King Eric and Tea's Over has been nominated In the Distiller's handicap, to bo run at the old Lexington Lexing-ton courso this spring. |
