Show HAD TWO HUSBANDS AT THE SAME TIME i It is disclosed by the records In the ofllce of the County Clerk that one Mrs. Retta Callahan was married1 to a Michael Mich-ael McGrath In this city in 1897 nearly a month before she had secured a divorce di-vorce from her former husband. The court records show that suit for divorce was filed by Retta Callahan against pa-vld pa-vld Callahan on November 6, 1807, and that a default decree was entered on the 29th of the month. One day after filing the action for di I vorce the County Clerk issued a marriage mar-riage license to McGrath and Retta Hel-mer. Hel-mer. It Is believed that the woman supposed that the filing of her complaint was all that was necessary In securing a separation, as she was married to 'McGrath 'Mc-Grath on the day the license was Issued. The ceremony was performed by tho Rev. S. E. Wlshard and witnessed by I his wife and Helen Wlshard CaBkey. I The above Information was secured i for Attorney Charles S.
