Show INCREASING ITS CAPITAL. The Increase of cnpltal In the Guffcy it Galey oil and gas exploring enterprise enter-prise at Farmlngton, from $800,000 to 55,000,000, is an evidence at once cf the Increased hope of the promoters and of the extennlvencss of the operations they mean to pursue. They have apparatus on the ground for deep exploration?, and with sanguine expectations for the outcome, they arc pushing their drill work with renewed energy and Increased In-creased vigor. They have tapped two natural gas reservoirs, re-servoirs, which continue to send dp at a high pressure large quantities of gas, enough, as their experts claim, to meet the requirements of any of tho settlements settle-ments along the line between here and Ogden. As to this gas supply, while it has hitherto, in the operations of former years, proved but temporary, the wells clogging and ceasing their flow, it may be altogether different with tho greater depth which Is developed and to be developed de-veloped by this new company. It Is certainly to be hoped that the deeper and more permanent deposits may yield with more steadiness and durability. The best-evidence of the confidence of tho public In the success of this enterprise enter-prise Is the number of new companies which have been and arc being organized or-ganized with the same purpose of boring bor-ing for gas and oil. Theso will doubtless doubt-less prosper according to their strength and the efficiency of the machinery they may put in, for the field is open, and It Is also wide. The Tribune Is delighted to see the excellent prospects for a new prosperity and industry, which the discoveries and hopeful Indications of this new company com-pany have opened up. It trusts that all reasonable expectations may be met, and that Davig county may become one of the busiest and richest counties in the State through the work now begun so well, ' |
