Show Orson Splors Funeral services over the remains of the late Orson Spclrs were held ycster day nl 2 p m In the Tenth ward assembly as-sembly rooms which wiui packed to its I utmoRt to hold the many relatives and friends Unit had assembled tp pay their last respects The large hall was tastefully draped In whIte and the casket was literally covered with llowerH The service wero conducted by 1 Elder Joseph Keddlngton first counselor coun-selor lo Bxhop Spelra The singing by the ward choir was excellent both OH to selection and rendition The first speaker was Elder William liar rleon one of the block teachers of the deceased He was succeeded by El ders Joseph Keddlnglon Charles SImons Si-mons Joseph SlmoriB and Bishop Jon sea of Forest Dale all of whom spoke words of encouragement for the family and highly of the deceased A quar tette I Need Thee Every Hour was beautifully rendered by Mrs Israel Strong Miss Mamie Russell Messrs Fuller and Joseph Poll The services closed with a tenor solo by Joseph Poll entitled The Beautiful City with chorus by the cholr The services throughout were replete with evidences of the high esteem for the deceased and his relatives |
