Show Two Minute Sermon By y THOMAS HASTWELL SPINDLY PLANTS I remember remember ber as a small child that my moth mother er was a lover of flowers and plants She loved to work with them When winter came it was i necessary to bring tiring the flowers and plants into the house In as much as room in our home was limited there was not enough window window window win win- dow space to permit all of the plants to have a position in jn the position in the light and where the rays of the sun would strike them I noticed that the plants that were the from the window window window win win- dow did not nol do as well as those in more favored positions where the direct rays of the winter sun would strike them I remember as a child it seemed strange to tome tome tome me that even though a plant was set in good soil and watered regularly regularly regularly regu regu- it did not grow unless it received received received re re- re- re the rays of the sun It was weak and pale and spindly I have thought many times that this is what happens to people when they neglect their spiritual welfare They may be well fed and clothed clothed clothed cloth cloth- ed and h have ve every bodily need sup supplied supplied plied but if they neglect their spiritual spiritual spir spir- spir- spir Hual nourishment they are weak and spindly just as were my mothers mother's mothers mother's mothers mother's moth moth- ers er's plants Plants must have the warming rays of the sun to develop properly and a man must have havethe havethe havethe the food that comes from God f he s to develop into a strong study character r |
