Show I Kaysville Woman Celebrates Her Birthday Four generations of Marthas were together recently at Kaysville when the daughter granddaughter and great granddaughter visited Mrs Martha artha M. M Burton who will willi celebrate her birthday Wed Wed- Wednesday Wednesday at the home of a daughter Mrs F B. B Ringer of Kaysville Mrs Irs Burtons Burton's mother was also named Martha Mrs Burton was born bom at Provo Pro Feb 19 1857 a daughter of Eras Eras- Erastus Erastus and Martha Jones Meacham early pioneers who arrived in Utah July 25 25 1847 The family lived in Fairview Salt Lake City and then North Ogden where Mrs Burton met Joseph II H. Burton whom she married Sept 6 1875 The couple made their home in Park Valley Box Elder county for lor 48 46 years ears where Mr Burton became known for his ability as a II farmer fanner and cattleman Friends neighbors and others came from miles around to Aunt Martha who without special training successfully se set fractured bones bandaged serious cuts so that they Uley left no scares nursed these ill with ith blood poison in inc diphtheria scarlet scarle fever fever and and other ailments with never a penny for her services A leading figure of her community ity in the Church of Jesus of Latter-day Latter Saints Mrs Burton was president of the Young Wom Worn Women's I ens en's Mutual Improvement for 27 years president of the Relief society for 8 years and had been an active leader in the Sunday school since she was 12 years ears old and for many years ears in the Primary Mr and Mrs Burton celebrated their thir golden wedding anniversary ann ersary in 1925 and Mr Burton died in 1927 Six of the 11 sons and daughters of Mrs Burton are living They The are Joseph II Burton Burley Burle Ida Mrs D.
