| Show MEASLES IN THE JAIL Frank Walsham Broke Out Yesterday and Was Released From Custody Cus-tody by Order of the County Attorney Ono of the prisoners at the county Jail broke out yesterday Frank Walsham the young colored boy who Is awaiting trial for embezzling embez-zling 9 from his employer did not feel very good Thursday because he was full of measles The cause of his uneasiness was not known until yesterday yes-terday when It all came out The rash that appeared was characteristic of the measles and the disease was easily diagnosed by Dr Mayo the County Physician Frank did not break out In the usual way however There were no red blotches on his face the eruption being be-ing nicely embossed In black As the doctor observed measles Is rather rough on a colored person Now the mystery of the Jail Is how did Frank get It 1 Visitors to the Jail are required to leave their measles In the olllce before going Inside and the officers would like to know who smuggled smug-gled them In to Frank When the County Attorney heard what Walsham had he ordered the case against him dismissed and the prisoner was turned over to his relatives for medical treatment treat-ment Now that he has shown his ability to catch something the boy expects an appointment on the police force for he Is a poor Ignorant colored lad and does not know much about politics It was Frank who made astrenuous protest when It was proposed to put him In the cell with the Chinaman Ah Chin and he was very glad when the order was countermanded Since Frank has developed the measles and It Is Ah Chin who Is glad |
