Show Fred re Lewis Son on Harvest Nice ice Peach Crop in in Spite of o Frost Last spring after the killing killin g frost that swept over over this valley no one had an idea that any or or- orchard orchard orchard chard had but we have hav e just learned that at least one eight t acre peach orchard owned by Fred Fre d Lewis It is located on Center Cente r Street Streel just below the Bonneville e canal and was not so seriously y damaged However the half acre e of peach trees by his house on o n Second east cast and Second south has ha S but bul very few This freezing business is is a very ve ry freakish affair It hits misses and ana an checkerboards across the country count countin ry in a queer way but usually the th e fruit on the bench land escapes escape S when it freezes down in the valle valley vaHey y The writer remembers some years year ago the late William J.
