It will include in-clude every child In the precinct pre-cinct who is between the ages of six and eighteen, whether or not they are attending our school, working, married, or going to private schools. Did you notice that we have an underground conduit to carry the water from the old mine tunnel on the school ground to the sewer? We certatnly miss all that mud that was formerly carried into the school house and this winter we'll miss all the Ice that it formed on the walks, as well. Also, all the rocks have been removed from the grounds but our lawn doesn't seem to thrive too well. Most of the feacliers of Bingham Bing-ham Central are either taking extension work or residence work from the University of Utah this winter. Among them are Miss BINGHAM CENTRAL ScbolFotey Mr. Beckstead and two assistants assist-ants are busily engaged in preparing pre-paring the new room for our books and supplies, it is being mad in the rear of M. Cox's room and will be a good book room when finished. The room the ' supplies are in at the present pres-ent time will then be remodeled, painted and the floor sanded and got ready for the kitchen. Mr. Beckstead will probably start on it as soon as possible so that we may soon begin with hot lunches. The two first grades nave oeen divided so that the new first grade teacher, Miss Zoe Jensen, has twenty-four students. The room is to be painted in three colors, shading into one another, the tables and chairs are to be painted a different color, and It is to have Venetian blinds. Miss Jensen hopes to have her room one of the most attractive rooms In thte entire Jordan District. Dis-trict. There liave been some expressions expres-sions as to the advisability of having adult education work here for Bingham. If there Is enough demand for it we will see what courses imay be offered so If interested in-terested get in touch with Mr. Bell and let him know what you would like. Miss Vlckers' Third Grade had a candy sale lust Wednesday from which they netted $5.09. They plan to Join the Junior Red Cross with a part of the funds and use the other part of it with which to iget supplies for their Junior Red Cross work. The children certainly were enthusiastic en-thusiastic about their sale and conducted themselves like wise little merchants, indeed. Starting next week the teachers teach-ers of our school will be knocking knock-ing doors after school in order to get the school census. We |
