| Show DEATH OF A TEACHER Miss May W Pearse Falls aVictim S to Consumption Miss May W Pearse died of consump lon nt the home of Mrs Bourgard 06 Vest Fourth South at 10 oclock yesterday yester-day morning The death was not unexpected un-expected as for several years Miss Pearse has been suffering from con umpilon and It was known for several days past that the end was near She vas a teacherin the Salt Lake schools for several years her lust engagement being nt the Lowell but for the past two years she has not been able to do any work Sunday afternoon although hen In the last stages of the dreaded disease she was still reluctant to give up her Idng l fight against It She said then to a friend who called Im too young to die 1C only the weather will get warm again 1 shall be all right but the Imprint of death was already upon her Miss Pearse had many friends In Salt Lake who will be sorely grieved to learn oC her death although all have known for a long time that her early death was inevitable She was OM earnest quiet and steadfast woman uniting tender and noble qualities which endeared her to all who knew her death will leave a vacancy in tho circle where she was known that will not easily be filled S Miss Pearse was about 30 years of age She had no relatives in Utoh and has no near relatives living The funeral fu-neral services will be held at JVIrs Bourgards this afternoon at 3 oclock and the remains will then be shipped to Mt Vernon lad for Interment |
