Show EUREKA HAS A CONTEST Xing Delegates Selected on Thursday and Dunbar Supporters Yesterday Eureka Feb 211ho Democratic party of thin city now has two delegations delega-tions ready to attend the Democratic State convention in Salt Lake City on March 1st Some time ago a call was Issued for a primary to be held Saturday Satur-day February Ii4th but on account of tho smallpox epidemic and the Mayors proclamation prohibiting public gatherings gath-erings posters were gotten out resetting reset-ting the date for February 22nd when seven delegates to attend the State convention were chosen They all declared de-clared themselves for Hon William II King for Congress A number of Democrats Demo-crats seemed to take exception to the manner In which the meeting was held and acting In accordance with tho first call met at the city hall this evening and selected a second delegation which la as follows Dr G J Field Bat Sullivan Sul-livan Samuel King John II McChrys tal Charles A Coyle James Nolan and M F Sammon The meeting was called by Bat Sullivan the county I chairman John T Harrington having I refused to do so and after Sam King had been elected chairman and Charles CJoylc secretary the above delegates were selected by ballot The delegates will go to the State convention unin Rtnicted but all are said to be Dunbar supporters |
