Friday the little kindergarten children spent a happy hour around tho Christmas Christ-mas tree In all of the rooms appropriate appro-priate and pretty programmes were given The seventhgrade pupils entertained enter-tained the pupils of the beginners with a Christmas tree the beginners furnishing fur-nishing the programme The Sixth grade pupils had a very pretty pro gramme and closed In a charming way with a tree from which each child of the room received some fruit I a n The blackboard decorations at the Riverside Friday were most favorably commented upon by the many visitors present They consisted of drawings I original and copied In black and white and colors The many pictures which adorned the walls Mere handsome and very appropriate > The mistletoe and holly were in evidence throughout the building A large Christmas tree which was beautifully decorated was placed In thc center of the hall on the first floor around which the children gathered to sing their songs and tell their storks Miss Thomas and her pupils made pleasant little Christmas calls upon the little ones of the primary department and gave them presents of their own handiwork t Tho Riverside chorus which was recently cent organized Is singing In a very acceptable manner This chorus will sing at the Saturday morning session of the State Teachers association Mr Wetzell was the recipient of a beautiful
