Show HER CAREER HERE I I Was Daughter of Brigham Young and Very Highly Respected Mrs Ardella Young Harrison was I 3C years old and was a daughter of President Brigham Young arid Mrs Emcllne Free Young She wai > born here and remained in this city until about 20 years of age when she married mar-ried Dr Frank H Harrison whose father wasa cousin of President Harrison Harri-son The doctor tpok hIs bride to his old home in Philadelphia on a wedding tour afterward returning to this city Here they remained awhile and then went to San Francisco where they lived several years the doctor becoming becom-ing connected with one of the hospitals It became evident that the couple could not agree and so a legal separation separa-tion was had and Mrs Harrison returned re-turned to this city where she stayed for some Lime Later she took up re pcrtorial work and was placed In charge of the society column of the Herald Afterward she made up her mind to go to New York where she studied for a year or more and finally branched ovu as a writer of verse Later she was employed In several of the department de-partment stores In the Eastern cities 1 but becoming homesick as she expressed i ex-pressed It came to Salt Lake I BEGAN WORK IN A STORE Soon liter she entered time employ of the Walker Bros Dry Goods company I where sue remained a couple of years Leaving there she went to Auerbach I Bro in whose employ she was when she left here on Wednesday last saying say-ing that she was going on a short trip Into the country She had been living In a suite of rooms In the Constitution building with her two daughters Ella aged 12 and Marguerite aged 10 for about a year past nnd when she left she sent the two little ones to a relative rela-tive In the country saying she would be home soon SHOCKED BY NEWS OF DEATH The first Intimation that the family had of her death was when they were informed last nlgbtat S oclock by a I Tribune represcnlalive but It was not until several hours later that tho real cause of the death was received from San Francisco It will prove a source of the deepest surprise to the many people here and both East and West who are acquainted with her She shared of course equally with the other heirs of the late Brigham Young and when she became a bride was worth somewhere about 20000 Sho tiustcd Impllcltcly in her husband who managed her financial affairs nnd as a result soon found that the money bud vanished PREFERRED TO SUPPORT HERSELF HER-SELF I Everything that she could have desired de-sired was offered by brothers sisters and other relatives but her nature was such that she accepted only what was actually necessary saying that she was perfectly able tb take care of herself Sho was a hard worker bright and Intelligent In-telligent and all through the days oCher oC-her misfortunes looked upon the bright side of life It was remarked by relative last evening that sho had seemed to be despondent for the past two weeks but no one so far known had any Idea of the sad state ot facts Many a heart will ache over the sad I fate of so bright and Inlclllgent a I woman such a steadfast and loyal I friend such an affectionate and loving mother The body has been ordered sent to this city where the Interment will take place I |
