Show J M MACE DIED SUDDENLY COMPLAINED OF PAIN IN CHEST LAY DOWN AND EXPIRED Built First Engine Used on Keokuk Des Moines Railroad Funeral Services Sunday John M Mace 70 years of age died suddenly early yesterday morning About a year ago he received a par alyllc stroke since which time he had not been very well He arose yesterday yester-day morning about J 1 oclock and complained com-plained of a pain in his breast lay down aguln and was dead In a few moments Deceased was a member in good standing of lodge No 13 L O O F of Keokuk la and the funeral services ser-vices will be held under the auspices of Fidelity lodge I O O F this city at Odd Fellows hall on Sunday at 230 oclock The interment will be in Ml Olivet Deceased was a pattern maker by trade and held the distinction of having built the llrst engine In Iowa which was used on the Keokuk Des Moines railroad Ho wu well thought of by his associates both in his old home and here |
