Show DIED V THE 1 Peter E Hansen Stricken While at Work V DEATH CAME VERY QUICKLY Hansen Wlio Was in His Sixty V V Eighth Year Was Coming DOwn V Emigration Canyon With a Load of Bock When He Struck a Mud V Hole Fred Q Peterson Wont to His Eescuc but Hansen Suddenly Became Dizzy and Died Within a Tew Minutes V V I Almost without a moments warning death came to Pete E Hansen In Emigration Emi-gration canyon yesterday afternoon All 11015 I life a laboring man Jlr Hansen died In the harness being engaged at the time in his occupation of hauling rock from the canyon to the city He was in his sixtyeighth year From Fred G Peterson who was with the unfortunate man at the time of his death the particulars were learned When near the bridge in the canyon which Is In the vicinity on Tenth South and Sixteenth East streets Hansons wagon ran into a nit and his team was unable to pull the load put Hanson then asked Peterson whO was Just behind be-hind him with another load of rock to help him Peterson readily consented and unhitching his own team lie attached at-tached the horses to Hansons wagon At this time Hansen was on the ground beside his own outfit and he suddenly called to Peterson for help Peterson hastened to the old mans side and caught him Just in time to prevent him I from falling Hansen then remarked l that he felt dizzy and complained of a pain in his chest Being unable to stand Peterson gently laid the stricken man on the ground and within a few minutes ho had breathed his last HEART FAILURE THE CAUSE As soon as possible the body was removed re-moved to the residence of Henry Harris Har-ris who lives near by and last evening tho remains were brought to the undertaking under-taking establishment of Joseph William Taylor The County Attorney was immediately im-mediately notified of the occurrence and later Assistant County Attorney Loofbourow and Dr W F ntJ Beer responded re-sponded After being told of the circumstances cir-cumstances aiTl l making an examination of the body 33r Beer signed a certificate certifi-cate setting out that the deceased fcame to his dearth from heart failure and no inquest will be held The deceased was well known in Salt Lake having resided here for fortyfive years He came to Utah originally from Denmark and had always been known as an honest hardworking man He was said to be of an excitabledis position however and frequently Overexerted Over-exerted himself Those who are best acquainted with him express the opinion opin-ion that his sudden death was the result of excitement occasioned by the mishap to his outfit He leaves a wife and six sons V |
