| Show VISIT OF R C EASTON U Singer Returns From New I York for a Short Stay i H C Easton Utnhs favorite tenor l I arrived from Now York yesterday on a brief visit His trip was made for the I purpose of slnzing In the Tabernacle I I t on Friday night He hns1 been away I I three years and in that time bus been I I very successful In his musical i work which Includes studying leaching and I t I engagements He is now studying un 1 der Dr Frank Dos ert of Carnegie i hall who Is one of the foremost I masters of voeal music InHhe country He Is the one who composed a mass I I which was so good that the Pope had it performed In the Vatican at Rome by I I a picked 1 choir and Dr Dossert was I complimented by the Queen of Italy I 1 work for the same I Mr Easton In a member of tho Bankers Glee club which gives recitals In Carnegie hall It recently gave Paul Reveies lildo and Mr Eaaton was given the tenor part His old favorite fa-vorite Annie Laurie was arranged by the director Mr Humphries asa tenor solo with humming accompaniment accompani-ment which ho also sang At the reception given recently to Mr Carnegie Mr Easton sang Scotch ballads and received a regular ovation the honmaster himself Joining in thr applause and personally complimenting the Salt Laker I Mr Easton does considerable other i work He Is in the choir of a prom 1 1 sent church and has a standing Sunday Sun-day evening engagement to sing for Charles Uroadway Rouse the noted blind millionaire Although very successful the metropolis me-tropolis Mr Easton says he has not cast his lot there forever but will return re-turn to Salt Lake some day to permanently perma-nently reside |
