Show USED CAR WEEK SET MARCH 5-12 "National Used Car Exchange Week", outgrowth of conferences at the White House between President Pre-sident Roosevelt and leaders of the automobile industry has been set for March 5-12. Mr. Alvan Macauley, speaking for American Ameri-can automobile manufacturers and the 46,000 dealers says: "Too many unsafe, wornout, unreliable cars, without modern safety brakes, safety glass, large tires and steel bodies, are in operation today." he continued. "Too many are costly to operate. Eleven minion cars seven years old or older are licensed for operation op-eration throughout the country. "M'any of these cars can be replaced during National Used Car Exchange Week to the great! advantage of the, buyer and of the public with newer, 'up-to-date' cars, without initial investment invest-ment beyond their present car and on terms to suit the average aver-age pocketbook." These new cars offer modern equipment and are a good investment in comfort, safety and economy." : j. -s |
