Show EMERSON FESTIVAL Delightful Entertainment Provided at the School The spring festival given last evening even-Ing at the Emerson school was a sue cess in every way A large number of interested patrons and friends assembled assem-bled to listen to the pretty programme and to admire the beautifully decorated rooms which were bowers of beauty and showed no little preparation The ice cream room was in yellow sandwiches and coffee were served In I the pink and while room and the can dy booth had lavender and green decorations deco-rations all of which were very beautiful beauti-ful There was also a Japanese room where tea and cocoa were served by little people in costume A gypsy booth and flsli pond were also drawing cards The following programme was rendered ren-dered to a crowd of delighted friends Time Awakening of time Vloletn Eighteen Hale girls Flag exerciseFourth prude pupils Doll drill Sixteen girls Maypole dance Twolvo boys Pink IOSQ drillSixteen little girls Chorus Sewing Song Sons Gypsy Jane Slcvo drill Fifth grade pupils Dialogue Pooplo of all Nations Duet Sweet Charming Bells Eva Wort hen and Olive Holder u Banquet at Jackson Yesterday noon as the eighth grade 6f the Jackson school was dHmisscd the teacher and pupils were ushered In ito i-to the lower hall where a line banquet was spread In honor of Miss Bond and her class by tho teachers of the Jackson Jack-son school Misses Bond and Cox responded re-sponded to toasts and the following toasts were also given The Eighth Grade Annie Parsons Uncle Sam Mr Bender Our Superintendent Miss Sacketl Our Boys and Girls Mrs Bliss Mr Bradford acted as loastmaster and the whole affair was most enjoyable The banquet closed with three rousing cheers for the prln clpal and teachers of the Jackson school Hamilton Banquet The Hamilton school was the scene of a very pretty affair yesterday after nonn gl3i In honor of the graduating class by Principal Doxey and his teachers teach-ers The tables were set In the upper hall where a bountiful banquet was served The corridors were beautifully dccoj rated for the occasion green and white being the color scheme which was nicely carried out while flags and plants added to the genera1 effectiveness effective-ness Festoons of white crepe paper were used In abundance The Hamilton orchestra discoursed fine music throughout the banquet and Miss Pike one of the teachers sang very sweetly Afterward the class sat for their pictures and a group of teachers teach-ers were also photographed Several of lie parenls were in attendance and the afternoon was one long to be remembered re-membered |
