Show King, Peterson Seeking Aid For Utah Town Rep. David S. King and Rep. M. Blaine Peterson Friday morning morn-ing called upon the Small Business Busi-ness Administration in Washington Washing-ton to designate fire-ravaged Roosevelt as a disaster area so that the community can qualify for special Small Business Administration Ad-ministration assistance. The Congressman said, in a wire to Small Business Administrator Admin-istrator John E. Home, that the agency should be bending every effort to expedite the reconstruction reconstruc-tion of the Roosevelt firms razed by the Thursday fire. "With damage estimated as high as $500,000, this community surely would qualify for disaster dis-aster designation," Congressman Congress-man King said. "As quickly as SBA puts Roosevelt on disaster status, the stricken businessmen can qualify for special long-term, low-interest-rate loans with which to reconstruct re-construct their enterprises," Congressman Peterson observed. |
