Show Litho Forum Dated Oct. 27-28 at U. of U. Invitations are being mailed to all printers and lithographers, owners, managers, salesmen, and craftsmen and students in Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, Colorado, Colo-rado, Nex Mexico, Arizona, Nevada Ne-vada and Southern California to attend a Litho Shop Practice Forum at the University of Utah Student Union Building, October 27 and 28. In addition, advertising advertis-ing men and artists are invited to attend the Friday evening sessions ses-sions on "Seeing Light and Color" and "Color Reproduction." Reproduc-tion." Sponsor of this educational event is the Utah Graphic Arts Council which has appointed an LTF Technical Forum Committee. Commit-tee. General chairman is Max Wheelwright of Wheelwright Lithographing Company, Neff Smart of the University of Utah Department of Journalism, is in charge of accommodations, food and equipment, Frank Hay-more Hay-more of Brigham Young University Univer-sity Press is in charge of ushering, usher-ing, Cecil Carr of Carr Printing is chairman of registration and finance, and Jeff Ward of Porte Publishing Company is in charge of mailing lists. In conjunction with the forum there will be two open houses of suppliers to the printing trades. On Friday afternoon, October 27, the Mountain States Bindery, 1881 West North Temple Street, will hold an open house at which they will serve a complete buffet-style dinner. Immediately following the last forum session on Saturday afternoon, the California Ink Company, 2490 South 8th West, which is just finishing construction construc-tion of a new modern ink and supply building in Salt Lake City, will have an open house. |
