I Open House to Honor Brady and Carlson An open house honoring C. W. (Buck) Brady and Wayne Carlson, Democratic candidates for the Salt Lake County Commission Com-mission is planned Oct. 25 at the Cottonwood Club. The event will get under way at 8:30 p.m. Everyone is invited said hosts Hugh Sweeten, Dr. R L. Sweeten and Gil Sweeten. There will be no speeches but a brief question and answer period pe-riod is planned. Refreshments will be served. Members of various Democratic Clubs are especially urged to attend. Sugar beets grown and processed pro-cessed in Utah supply enough sugar each year to provide more than a year and a half's supply for every person living in the state. The average American consumes 97 pounds of sugar a year and Utah's beet sugar industry in-dustry produces approximately 137 million pounds cf beet sugar annually.
