M Both Democrats and Republi- cans start the ball rolling in lj April and May with party organ- V izational conventions. Delegates l to the conventions will be named j at party mass meetings earlier. ; This will be followed by party nominating conventions on the county and state level. I i. The primary election is slated for Sept. 13 and the general election elec-tion comes Nov. 8. The Democratic National Convention Con-vention is scheduled for Los Angeles on July 11 and the Republican Re-publican National Convention will .take place in Chicago beginning be-ginning July 25. Deadline for filing candidacies for Utah offices, with the exception excep-tion of judicial offices covered by the non-partisan judicial law, will be July 11. Actually the deadline is July, but the law states if the deadline falls on a Sunday it shall be moved back one day. . i |
