Show General Practitioners to Hear Of New Oral Polio Vaccine and head of the Division of Laboratory Lab-oratory Medicine and Clinical Pathology, University of Colorado Colo-rado School of Medicine, "Albuminuria "Al-buminuria Its Significance and Therapy." A banquet meeting the evening of April 22 will be addressed by Dr. John G. Welsh, Sacramento, Calif., president of the American Ameri-can Academy of General Practice, Prac-tice, who will discuss "Proper Relationship of the G. P. to the Specialist in Modern Medicine." 0 Physicians from throughout Utah are expected to attend the sessions of the 12th annual convention con-vention and symposium on Clinical Clini-cal Medicine and Surgery of Utah Chapter, American Academy Acad-emy of General Practice April 22 in Salt Lake City. They will hear noted specialists in a number of fields of medical research, said Dr. T. E. Robinson, Robin-son, general chairman. Chapter officers will be chosen at an evening meeting April 21 at Prudential Auditorium. A full day for wives of physicians is planned April 22. First speaker at the April 22 morning session at Hotel Utah will be Dr. Robert N. Barr, secretary sec-retary and executive officer of Minnesota State Department of Health, who will discuss recent field trials of the new Lederle-Cox Lederle-Cox oral polio vaccine. These tests were conducted last month in Minnesota and also have been carried on in other parts of the world. Dr. David A. Karnofsky, associate asso-ciate professor of medicine at Cornell University Medical College, Col-lege, is to discuss "Tumor Therapy Ther-apy Status and Trends" and Dr. Irving Innerfield, research professor. Department of Biology at Long Island University Graduate Grad-uate School will consider "Role of Enzymes or Proteases in Modern Mod-ern Medicine." During a luncheon session Dr. Edward M. Litin, consultant, section of Psychiatry, Mayo Clinic, Clin-ic, will discuss "Emotional Problems Prob-lems in Children." Addressing afternoon sessions will be Dr. J. D. Mortensen ol Ruml Chest Clinic, Salt Lake City, "Arterial Lesions Amenable Amen-able to Surgical Management"; Dr. Harry M. Robinson, head of the Division of Dermatology, University of Maryland, "Management "Man-agement of Skin Diseases;" Dr. Janet Travell, associate professor of clinical pharmacology, Cornell University Medical College, Geriatric Ger-iatric aspects of Myofascial Trigger Trig-ger mechanism"; Dr. Joseph H. Holmes, professor of medicine |
