Show USDA Seeks More Poultry Inspectors The United States Department of Agriculture is recruiting graduate grad-uate veterinarians in the west to fill the need for additional inspectors in-spectors as more and more processing pro-cessing plants qualify for USDA inspection under the new Poultry Poul-try Products Inspection Act. Veterinarians are wanted both for permanent and seasonal employment, em-ployment, at a starting annual salary rate of $6,135. They will conduct official USDA inspection in approved processing plants, and in some instances oversee the work of lay inspectors. Prospective places of employment employ-ment are scattered throughout fhe western states, but concentrated concen-trated principally in important poultry processing centers in California, Oregon, Washington, Utah and Idaho.
