David S. King said this week. Commending the Corps for the dispatch with which it prepared the report, Mr. King said the prompt action will enhance the possibility that the $6.4 million project will get into an omnibus authorization bill in this session. ses-sion. The Board of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors passed upon the project only 10 days ago, clearing the way for the office of the Chief of Engineers to complete com-plete the final report. I Mr. King introduced a bill several weeks ago to authorize the dam and reservoir, a Jordan River flood control project that also would bolster the Salt Lake City water supply. The congressman urged Gov. George D. Clyde and other officials of-ficials who must review the re-' port to act with dispatch also. As quickly as the report is reviewed re-viewed and approved by state officials it will go to the Bureau of the Budget and from there to the Congress. |
