Show BOARD OF EQUALIZATION. Changes Made in the Assessment Roll fcr 1893 Today. . The county board of equalization met again at 10 o'clock this morning. Judge Bartch, Cahoon, Harvey Hardy, Butter and Clerk Allen were present. It was ordered that unless special cause is shown therefor no remittance of taxes will be made where the assessment equals or exceeds ex-ceeds $'2500. It was ordered also that Cahoon, Hardy and Butter be a committee to read and check up the clerk's minutes each day upon the adjournment, aud report to the ward at the next meeting thereof. The following changes were then made: R. Rogers, widow, assessed 10.80, abated $10; James Hughes, name changed to I. A. Benton; M A. Kiddington, assessed $7.50, abated 17.50 on account of poverty; pov-erty; F. C. Petersen, et al., assessed $13.83, abated ?L50 on account of overvaluation of improvements. Robert Wright, assessed 15. 40, abated $5.40 on account of poverty; Robert Rackett, assessed $7.88, abated on account ac-count of poverty; Annie Soville, . widow, assessed $3.60, abated; C. M. S. Jones, widow, assessed D, abated; Miry A. Phillips, Phil-lips, widow, assessed $17.10, abated $10; I Mary 11. Culmtir, assessed jl'.i.8.S, denied; George Coombs, assessed $14.85, abated f'J.tfci on account of poverty; Elizabeth Jan-son, Jan-son, widow, assessed $13,75, abated $0.47; J. Fairclough, widow, assessed $18.90, abated aba-ted $5; William McCluary, assessed $'3.48, abated on account of poverty; George S. Smith, assessed $45.08, abated $0 on account of erroneous assessment of improvements twice; Hannah Willard, widow, assessed $iJ.03, abated $10; Catherine Allen, widow, assessed $31-15, abated $10; Ann Couley, widow, asscd $3.33, abated; Mary Offenbach, assessed $fj.7o, abated on account of erroneous errone-ous assessment; Annie Triplet, assessed 85 cents, abated 45 cents on account of insane asylum; H.
