Show VISITING KNIGHTS TEMPLAR. A Party of Ninety Take a Bath In Great Salt Lake. A large party of Knights Templar from the east were in Salt Lake City yesterday enjoying a bath in the lake, visiting the tabernacle, Fort Douglas and other points of interest. They came in over the Rio Grande Western at 7 a. m. and were met at the depot by the reception committee, which piloted them around town until 9 o'clock, when they took a special train for the beach. All expressed themselves as delighted with the bathing and scenery, and it is safe to assert that Salt Lake City will receive a first-class first-class send off at the hands of the members of the visitors. There were ninety in the party, chiefly from New York city and surroundings, among them being Rev. Metzgar Dorwart, of Patterson, N. J., and Rev. Cornelius Thwitif,-of-Sw ' YorkvThe latter made a few remarks at the depot before the train left last mgnc There were several members of the Mystic Shrine in the party who will attend the imperial im-perial council at Omaha after the conclave. |
