C Dalton and Hannah Daphne Smith Dalton On his liis mothers mother's side he is a great great grandson of Asahel Smith grandfather of the Prophet Joseph Smith and a grandson of Jesse N. N Smith who was among the first Mormon lorm l n pioneers to enter Utah On his fathers father's side he is a grand grand- grandson son of Edward Dalton a member of the Mormon Batalion Samuel Smith and Nathaniel Aikens were ere among his ancestors who en en- engaged engaged in the Revolutionary war Nathaniel Aikens served under the immediate command of General George Washington During the World War Var Mack enlisted in the United States Army and became a member Am Am- American American American forces in i France in 1918 He served at the front in the St. St Mihiel sector and andas andas j as a member of the American army lof of Occupation in Germany in 1918 l is a is a F tl Ar I ican Legion and D.
