A Time? reporter last evening witnessed what seemed to liirn either the performance of un idiot or a case that calls for action on the part of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animal. There is a vacant lot between the Palace livery stables and the stables just ill the rear of Wonderland. Last night a Bide whiskered Individual appeared in it, and selecting a horse from among a number loose In the lot, bridled it and then attached the hitching strap to the animal's tail, polling its head around until the body of the horse assumed the shape of the arc of a circle. Then taking a whip he kept the poor horse waltzing round and round all over the lot for at least half an hour. The poor animal was probably not much hurt, but it was evidently terrified, and the object of the fool iuauouvcr 13 not by any means apparent. |
