Show VN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OB-troction OB-troction of water ditches Be it ordained by the City Council of Suit Lake City as follow: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any wagon or other vehicle across any-public any-public water ditch or canal within the corporate limits of said Salt Luke City other than at a regular reg-ular crossing, or place any pole, board or any other obstruction whatever, in any such public ditch or canal for any purpose, or in any way interfere in-terfere with the free and unobstructed flow of water in such ditch or canal. Sec. 2. Any person desiring to drive across any I public water ditch or canal at any place other ! than at a public crossing, shall, before doing ;-o, place over said ditch or canal a good aud substantial substan-tial bridge, or in said ditch or canal a good and sul.stant ial covered flume, as the City Water j Master may direct and decide, sufficiently hin, and of sufficient capacity, so As not to interfere with, or prevent the free and unobstructed ilow of water in said ditch or canal, said bridge or! rlume to be constructed under the direction of the j Water Master of said city. Sec. 3. Any person or persons violating anv of the provisions of this ordinance shall be punished pun-ished by a tine in any sum rot less than five nor nn re than twenty-five dollars. Sec. 4.
