Jones, the promoter of the Sioux City fc Pacific railroad, is in town I from New York. Mr. Jones has the reputation reputa-tion of being one of the greatest hustlers in America, John Derby, the superintendent of the Promontory Stock company, is in town. Mr. Derby is one of the most successful stock men In the west and he thinks that the industry in-dustry will be one of the greatest in the territory ter-ritory when the stock yards are iu operation. H. Pfaff, a prominent Bostonian, arrived in Salt Lake this morning on his way to the west. |
